Well, we have found one way to make the winter seem like it is flying by. Finishing our basement. It has been quite the fun project and why i have not even been on the computer for weeks. We are getting so, so close to being done and we can't wait. We took these pictures saturday morning before we started primeing all the raw wood and now we are ready to go to town painting. Whoo hooo!!!
Here is T-Dawg helping us prime the closet shelves. He is our good little helper!!! He decided to put both hands on the paint lid so this was the result. And, if you notice, he has a bit of it in his hair, which is totally my fault, i wasn't watching where i was waving my brush. The problem is it is not washing out of his hair very well, so if you look closely on the left side of his head, he still has white paint in his hair, whoops!!
And this is a random picture of our teenagers that still like to dress up like superheros and princesses. I just have to chuckle a little in my heart when i see them sitting there listening to the $10 MP3 player, jammin' out to music. I think "wait a minute, aren't you only 4 and 2, not 14 and 12. " And then it makes me sad because that is only 10 years away and it goes so fast!

I still remember the Christmas where it seems like all Mike got was tools to start this fabulous project! I am so excited for you...your house is going to feel huge when you get to actually use that space---and have to clean it(:/):

I wish I could get my parents to jump on that! I live in the basement.. We have my room, the storage room and somewhat of a laundry room done, but the rest is just empty cold cement floors filled with all the crap i'm sure we've yet to un-pack ha ha
Did i mention we've been here for 12 years (and it's still that way)??
I do want to see it when it's done though :)
Awesome!! and SOOO exciting! I should have told you to come see our paint so you could see the different colors with texture..you still can if it's not too late! :) and I love the pic of those two! Talmage looks so old! time does go by way too fast! Before you know it, you will actually be using those bedrooms in the basement for your teenagers!!!
